參考范文:

Selling presents given by friends is are as on able behavior I think, because when the giver hand over the gift to the receiver, the owner of the stuff is changed. Thus the owner, the receiver should be allowed to use the gift for any purpose as long as it is legal. To be specific, if the owner thinks that the gift is useless, like a play station fora girl who never plays electronic games, the girl can sell it for money that could be used for something more meaningful. Although some people may say that the gifts embody the friendship between the givers and receivers, the expression of the love is finished as soon as the gift was received and the stuff in the boxes doesn’t represent anything special.

Both the author and the lecturer concentrate on the alternative fuel. Thereading passage asserts that there are three existing measures to substitutethe fossil fuels. However, the professor in the lecture totally refutes all thepassage"s viewpoints.

Firstly, even though the writer claims that hydrogen can replace fossilfuels, the speaker discredits this by arguing that even though hydrogen do notdischarge carbon dioxide, producing it needs a great deal of fossil fuels, which leads to a lot of carbon dioxide released. Therefore, it is less likelyto contribute to relieving global warming.

Furthermore, despite the statement in the reading passage that there arebio fuel that can be extracted from plants, the professor contends that theprocess of growing plants requires enormous space, which undeniably results inthe fact that there is no so many areas to meet the demand of planting.Naturally, if these areas were given to meet this requirement, it would notcater for the daily food like corn or sugarcane.

Finally, the author states that advanced technology can be utilized toextract carbon dioxide. The lecturer counters that modern technics cannotsatisfy the requirement that extract fuel to provide energy from carbon dioxide. For these concerns, this way can not be taken out.

In brief, the writer and the speaker contradict each other on thealternative fuels .

獨立寫作

How to stimulate highstudents interest?

1. applying advancedtechnology

2. studying with groupwork

3. introducingpractice out of school

Traditionally, giving grades is considered the most common method to stimulate students’motivation, but a soaring number of educationalists, meanwhile, start to focusmore on other methodologies, like applying advanced technology, studying withgroup work and introducing practice out of school. However, from myperspective, group study is indeed essential stimulus for students.

Firstand foremost, never should we deny the fact that group study can help reveal astudent’s shortcomings in studies, which contributes to their motivation andinterest. This is especially true when we consider the fact that students willhave the opportunities to discover their weak points on some subjects bycomparing with others in the same team. In other words, they may go all out tofind the reasons for the loss marks and obtain positive attitude toward theirschool performance. As a consequence, if such works, progress can be made.

Furthermore, another major superiority of group study is that it provides an environment inwhich students can exchange ideas with each other. It is well known thatknowledge knows no bounds, so it is almost impossible for even an eminentprofessor at university to have a good command of everything, let alone anordinary student. In consequence, students should be divided into differentgroups or classes so that they can communicate with, learn from and help eachother. In this case, this is more likely to trigger theirenthusiasm and motivation.

However, this does not mean that advanced technology cannot assist students in stimulatingtheir interest. To be specific, the massive data storage capacity of anelectronic reader allows the storage of the equivalent of piles of thick books. If students are using these forms of textbooks, they no longer have to stufftheir schoolbags with paper books, lessening their burden physically. What"smore, the adoption of visual and sound effects makes studying and reading timemore enjoyable. Consequently, this ultimately contributes to motivate theirinterest.

Inconclusion, even if the applying advanced technology and introducing practiceout of school can be regarded as the powerful tool to foster learners’interest, nothing is more effective than group study.
